Stimulating Session in Ottawa
In Ottawa yesterday we had a full house, with representatives from various community organizations, educational institutions and government. With a variety of presentations from many researchers and local organizations the panel was once again shown how much good work is taking place in the areas of language and literacy, and how much is still to be done. Stay tuned for posting of the presentations.
Our panel in Ottawa consisted of:
Dr. Pierre-Gerlier Forest, President of the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation
Senator Sharon Carstairs
Dr. Marie Bountrogianni, President and Executive Director of the Royal Ontario Museum Governors
Robert Thibault, former Member of Parliament (Minister of State [Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency] and Minister of Fisheries and Oceans), Chief Administrative Officer, Richmond County, Nova Scotia
