What a wonderful idea for a conference! The National Indigenous Literacy Association is pleased to see the focus on literacy for children as well as youth and adults.
We are attending and hoping to hear about efforts to address Aboriginal early learning as well.
Evidence points to the success Aboriginal headstart programs have internationally. With children in high poverty census tracks scoring frighteningly low on EDIs (Early Development Indicators), we would like to support research and discussion on practical and positive initiatives and methods to engage our children.
